What is the CCRF?
Date: May 23, 2018
Since 1976, The Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF) has been funding chiropractic research to discover the best, evidence-informed treatments for patients living with pain and disability caused by spinal dysfunction and disease.
In 2018, the CCRF launched new, national research priorities to focus research on making a direct impact on current patient needs, contributing to healthcare teams to discover the best approach to collaborative care for musculoskeletal health and growing our understanding of specific care for unique populations.
Our researchers are focusing on a number of common health issues in the Canadian population, including:
- Arthritis
- Persistent neck and back pain
- Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD)
- Degenerative Lumbar Spinal Stenosis (DLSS)
- Whiplash
- Head Injuries
- Falls Prevention
As well as the everyday effects of a sedentary lifestyle on our spine health!
Our researchers work with a number of other healthcare professionals, including sports doctors, physiotherapists, kinesiologists, occupational therapists, spine surgeons and family physicians to treat Canadians’ healthcare needs.
So how do you get involved? Here are three simple steps:
- Visit our newly launched website
- Sign up for our CCRF Newsletter
- Support research by becoming a monthly donor
Join us on our mission to support the development of knowledge through chiropractic research in Canada.
